How it works
1. Add your draft — privately
Drop in the PDF or Word file, or paste the text. The document is processed in your own browser during the free check — it is not uploaded to us or anyone else. To be extra careful, replace your child's name with "my child" first; the checker doesn't need it.
2. Confirm the sections
EHCPs are organised into sections: B needs, C health, D social care, E outcomes, F provision (the enforceable part), G/H health and social care provision, I placement, J personal budget. We auto-detect them and you confirm — this keeps the analysis accurate.
3. The free check
A deterministic rules engine — the same checks a specialist would run, by hand — looks for:
- vague wording in Section F ("regular", "access to", "as required"…);
- provision with no quantity, frequency or duration;
- needs in B with no matching provision in F;
- outcomes that cannot be measured;
- health and social care needs with no provision;
- internal contradictions between sections.

4. The full response package (£39)
Every issue becomes a numbered amendment: current wording → requested change → reason → statutory basis. The amendments are assembled into a professional "Comments on the Draft EHCP" letter you can download as a Word file and send.
Every citation in the letter comes from a fixed, human-curated list of official sources — the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEND Regulations 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015. The software cannot cite anything outside that list, and cannot promise outcomes. This is information and drafting help, not legal advice.
5. You send the letter
Send it to the address on your covering letter (usually the SEN caseworker), keep a copy, and ask for a meeting with an officer — that's a legal right within the 15-day window. The council must consider your representations before finalising the plan.
